Soprano Amanda Woodbury, praised by the San Francisco Chronicle for her “bright, beautifully colored” voice, continues to captivate audiences worldwide. In the 2024-2025 season, she reprises her acclaimed role as Violetta in La Traviata with Irish National Opera and Palm Beach Opera. She also joins the Indianapolis Symphony as the soprano soloist in Mahler’s, Symphony No. 4 and Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate.
Recent highlights include her house debut at Opéra national du Lorraine as Electre in Idomeneo, a role debut as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor with LA Opera, and performances at the Metropolitan Opera as Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and Countess (Le nozze di Figaro). She has also starred at Glyndebourne Festival, Glimmerglass Festival, and Spoleto Festival, among others.
A Grand Finals winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and a top prize recipient at Plácido Domingo’s Operalia, Ms. Woodbury has appeared with the LA Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel and performed Messiah with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Ms. Woodbury holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Indiana University. She currently resides in New York.
