The Guild for Washington Concert Opera invites you to join fellow opera lovers for a five-day, four-night trip to St. Louis, offering the opportunity to experience four operas at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis during its 2026 Festival Season. Along with the performances, travelers will have time to explore one of America’s great cultural cities.
The Opera Theatre of Saint Louis’s performances will include Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta The Pirates of Penzance, the Tony Award winning musical The Light in the Piazza, André Previn’s operatic adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire based on Tennessee Williams’ play, and a new staging of Charles Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet. All operas at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis are performed in English with English captions.

Arrivals in St. Louis are anticipated for the evening of June 16, 2026, or the morning of June 17, 2026. Accommodations will be at
Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton, a Marriott property, located at
7730 Bonhomme Ave in Clayton, Missouri. Minibus transportation will be provided for all scheduled events and opera performances. Meals are included as indicated; breakfast is available at the hotel but is not included. Dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings will be on your own.

THURSDAY, JUNE 18, 2026
Visit to Gateway Arch National Park, including a one-hour tram ride and documentary film. Lunch nearby (included), followed by an afternoon riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River. Dinner on your own, followed by an evening performance of The Pirates of Penzance at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.
FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2026
Visit to the Saint Louis Art Museum with a private tour of current exhibitions. Included lunch in the 2,500-square-foot Panorama restaurant, featuring sweeping views of Forest Park through floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Art Hill. Dinner on your own, followed by an evening performance of Romeo and Juliet at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.
SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2026
Free time in the morning, followed by an afternoon performance of
The Light in the Piazza at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Dinner (included) at Pastaria, followed by an evening performance of A Streetcar Named Desire.
SUNDAY, JUNE 21, 2026
Departure on your own.
To reserve your place, a $250 nonrefundable deposit is required. Additional details, including a final itinerary and associated costs, will be shared in April with those who have reserved a spot. This deposit is a tax-deductible donation to Washington Concert Opera and secures your space on the trip. Space is limited.
