The Guild for Washington Concert Opera is a volunteer organization that supports WCO and enriches the audience experience at the opera by hosting fabulous trips and social and educational programs.
Why should I join the Guild for WCO?
Travel to destinations domestic and international to attend operas and experience each city’s culture
Get to know the “inside” of the opera world, touring opera houses, meeting famous singers, attending Guild-sponsored lectures, brunches, and outside concerts
Share a sense of camaraderie with other Guild members while promoting the awareness and prosperity of Washington Concert Opera!
Dear Fans of WCO and Members of the Guild,
What an exciting 24-25 season we have before us at the
Washington Concert Opera with Puccini's Manon Lescaut November 24, Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito March 1, and Verdi's Luisa Miller on April 13; all with splendid casts!
Current members have already received information on upcoming Guild trips to the Metropolitan Opera October 15-19, to Paris February 8-15, 2025 to hear Lisette Oropesa and Larry Brownlee in I Puritani and other operas, and to Houston, April 29-May 3, 2025. We also look forward to reviving our popular Sunday brunches with speakers.
As dedicated supporters of WCO and the Guild you have contributed to these developments for which I warmly thank you.
Your dues ($35/single; $50/couple) help us maintain an exciting travel program, which provides some direct funding to WCO and fun and great performances for those who travel with us. With the disruptions of covid behind us, we will also be able to resume underwriting some of the WCO artists. We hope you will continue this support by rejoining the Guild for 2024-2025.
And for those not yet members we ask you to join this season.

Sincerely,
Margaret C. Jones, President
